64 winter essentials donated to Go Dharmic
Go Dharmic is a UK based non-profit organisational charity driving individual and social change by supporting vulnerable communities. They work on several different campaigns, such as focusing on feeding projects, providing education for children in poverty, planting trees, funding eyesight operations, and more recently supporting those most vulnerable during these unprecedented times. Through their emergency coronavirus appeal, they are providing a wide range of support, such as running phone call comfort lines for those requiring someone to talk to in these times as well as delivering meals to those most vulnerable, including the elderly and people experiencing homelessness.
In December 2021 Leiho donated 64 items of winter essentials to Go Dharmic, including beanies, thermal socks, gloves and boxers. At Leiho we recognise winter is a difficult time for those experiencing homelessness for several reasons. As temperatures hit below 0 degrees in the winter season, many of those experiencing homelessness are exposed to an increased amount of health risks, especially for those rough sleeping on the streets. For that reason, donating winter care essentials to GoDharmic was vital.
